The event will feature a panel of artists and scholars responding to the urgency of the political moment, followed by a participatory arts activation led by facilitators from art.coop, an organization devoted to solidarity economies and the arts.

Social workers and nonprofit practitioners face challenges when advocating for people living in poverty. Join us for this public event to learn about advocacy strategies developed in close collaboration with communities facing discrimination, racism, and poverty that can encourage policymakers to listen and act.

Come hear legendary organizer Marshall Ganz in conversation about his once-in-a-generation book. Its framework for creating real and lasting change is drawn from his extraordinary experiences with the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, Cesar Chavez and the United Farm Workers, President Obama’s 2008 election campaign, and training future leaders for over 20 years at Harvard. Moderated by Jason Spicer, Assistant Professor, Marxe School.
