    Quantitative Student Support

    Quant Support (the Quantitative Student Support department) offers graduate tutoring services, workshops, and more for students in the Marxe School. We aid students in refining their mathematical and quantitative skills, with a focus on fundamental math, stats, economics, and stats-based software.

    Tutoring

    Only for Marxe graduate students during the spring and fall semesters. Currently, we provide virtual support via Zoom for 1-on-1 tutoring sessions and any other services that require an appointment. Our automated system will also send reminders to students as their appointment date approaches.

    Workshops

    Unlike tutoring, which is always 1-on-1 and under an hour, our workshops are for groups of students and are typically between 1-2 hours in length. They may be a review of fundamental mathematics, a crash course on graphing, or a guide to using Excel for stats-based courses.

    Consultations

    Consultations are private meetings with the Associate Director of Quant Support, where topics concerning math/quant-based work that go beyond the scope of tutoring may be discussed. For example, one may be interested in general study skills or have general questions regarding student support services.
