Master of Public Administration (MPA)
Ranked among the best in the nation, the MPA helps students develop the practical skills and deep understanding of public service they will need to lead government, nonprofit, and private sector organizations, and to foster effective and inclusive institutions that strive to further economic and social equity in New York City, the nation, and the world. Online Master of Public Administration (OMPA)
The Marxe School Online MPA provides students with a fully online, flexible, affordable degree for employment in the public, nonprofit, and private sectors. The program has the same goals and mission as the campus-based MPA, but gives students the opportunity to complete their degrees in an online, asynchronous format.
Executive MPA (Executive MPA)
One of the original executive public administration programs in the nation, the EMPA develops confident, innovative, ethical, and strategic leaders with the capability to make a difference in government and nonprofit administration. The EMPA is for experienced professionals who want to gain administrative leadership skills as a cohort in an accelerated program of study taught jointly by academics and practitioners.
Master of International Affairs (MIA)
In this challenging new world, the MIA offers students a rigorous, multidisciplinary academic understanding of global challenges and governance and the skills to address them. Students also receive advanced training in key techniques of policy analysis, budgeting, assessment of political culture, global communication strategies, regionally specific issues and comparative methods.
Master of Science in Education in Higher Education Administration (MSEd-HEA)
Located within the largest urban higher education system in the United States, the MSEd-HEA aspires to produce talented leaders and managers who will effectively chart the futures of institutions of higher education. The program is ideally structured to meet the needs of people currently working in higher education who seek to advance their role and responsibilities.
Master of Science in City Planning (MSCP)
Graduates will be trained in the professional values of the city planning field, obtain the requisite knowledge to work effectively in the planning field, and demonstrate competency in skills required of city planners, such as leading and participating in long-range planning processes, conducting data-based analyses of urban environments, communicating persuasively in professional contexts, and leading planning teams and organizations effectively and equitably.
Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs (BSPA)
The BSPA prepares students to analyze problems and effectively solve issues with the principle goal of enhancing all aspects of public life. The program is interdisciplinary, which means that many diverse fields are studied. With this degree students develop a strong, marketable foundation that is flexible across the various sectors – public, nonprofit, and even private.
Online Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs (OBSPA)
Online BSPA courses are offered fully online, asynchronously for optimal flexibility, allowing students to do coursework and study as their schedule permits. The BSPA prepares students to analyze public sector problems and effectively solve issues to enhance all aspects of public life. The program is interdisciplinary, which means that many diverse fields are studied. With this degree students develop a strong, marketable foundation that is flexible across the various sectors – public, nonprofit, and even private.
Certificate in Public Communication
Learning how to communicate for impact is at the core of this Public Communications Certificate Program. Students will study and produce cutting-edge campaigns that employ digital and traditional media, encourage diversity, and maintain a positive public image of their organizations.
Certificate in Quantitative Methods for Policy and Equity Analysis
The Certificate in Quantitative Methods for Policy and Equity Analysis prepares students with the tools necessary to investigate quantitatively the impacts of policies and programs on underrepresented and marginalized groups and on inequalities by race, ethnicity, class, immigration status, gender, sexual orientation and other dimensions. Students will learn how to understand deeply, and apply appropriately, rigorous quantitative methods in policy and equity analyses.
